PLN Prepares Layered Defense For Electricity At IKN

JAKARTA - General Manager of PLN Main Distribution and Weight Regulatory Center (UIP3B) Kalimantan Abdul Salam Nganro said his party had prepared a layered defense system or defense scheme for electricity in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara in East Kalimantan.

"This layered defense is to anticipate the occurrence of widespread disturbances in the Kalimantan Interconnection Electricity System," he said in Banjarbaru, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 6.

Salam explained that during the pre-construction period of IKN, his party had prepared two Mobile Substations (GI) with a capacity of 2x30 kVA (kilo Volt Ampere) in Gersik which is about 30 km from the zero point of IKN.

"God willing, with the preparation and anticipation that we have done, the electricity supply in the IKN project is always reliable," he explained.

Previously, Salam together with the leaders of PLN Group Kalimantan had directly reviewed the progress of the development of electricity infrastructure at IKN to accompany the Board of Commissioners and Directors of Mega Projects and Renewable Energy of PT PLN (Persero).

He said the reliability of the electricity system that supplies IKN development projects was ensured to be maintained.

This is because IKN is a vital project for the nation, so that its reliability must be maintained and there should be no blackout disturbances that can interfere with the activities in it.

In fact, it is planned that the construction work at IKN will be completed, so the construction of electrical installations can be carried out immediately.
