JAKARTA - The BUMN Hospital Holding, PT Pertamina Bina Medika-Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) presents a cancer detection device at Bali International Hospital (BIH) to suppress cases of cancer deaths in Indonesia.

"To meet the community's need for sophisticated tools, we will seek cooperation with BPJS Kesehatan," said Pertamina Bina President Director Medika Mira Dyah Wahyuni in Denpasar, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 24.

He explained that the tool is a Scan Positron Emission Tomography (PET), a scanner that detects early and diagnosed cancer.

According to him, many cancer cases can be prevented from becoming high stages by early detection and the accuracy of cancer diagnosis through a Scan PET.

He claims that sophisticated tools are still limited in the country, so people still have difficulty getting fast and proper services related to cancer.

Mira added that the integrated oncology service with the completeness of the tool is expected to fulfill its mission to contribute to building the Indonesian public health ecosystem.

He hopes that the international hospital in the Special Economic Zone (KEK) of Health in Sanur, Denpasar, Bali will become a health service center in Indonesia.

"By providing PET Scan services, we hope to provide equal access to health," he added.
