Get Subsidies, Jabodebek's Farest LRT Tariff Is Priced At IDR 27,400

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) announced the official tariff for the Jabodebek LRT. The government also provides subsidies for this mass transportation.

Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation Risal Wasal said this tariff subsidy was given to support the implementation of the Jabodebek LRT.

He said, the Jabodebek LRT subsidy stipulated a calculation formulation contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 25 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of the Jabodebek Integrated Light Train (LRT) which was set on June 8, 2023.

The amount of subsidized tariffs for the Jabodebek LRT has been determined through the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KM 67 of 2023 concerning Transportation Tariffs for People on the Jabodebek Integrated Light Train (LRT) to Implement Public Service Obligations on July 14, 2023.

"The provision of subsidies to the Jabodebek LRT tariff is carried out so that the costs do not burden the community too much, so that it can attract people to switch to mass transportation," he said during the Forwahub discussion, in Jakarta, Friday, August 18.

For information, the amount of subsidies provided by the government reaches around Rp. 18,000 per passenger for the farthest route.

In the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KM 67 of 2023 concerning Transportation Tariffs for People with Light Trains (LRT) Integrated in Jabodebek, it is explained about the amount of the Jabodebek LRT tariff, which is IDR 5,000 for the first 1 km, and then IDR 700 for each kilometer (km) next.

In detail, the tariff based on the route is:

- Cawang Dukuh Atas Station for approximately 10 km long, tariffs are priced at Rp11,300- Upper Hamlet Station-Harjamukti Station along approximately 25 km of tariffs imposed at Rp21,800.- Upper Dukuh Station- Jatimulya Station along 28 km charged a tariff of Rp. 23,900.- Atas Hamlet Station-Halim Station for more than 13 km, tariffs imposed at Rp13,400.- Harjamukti Station- Jatimulya Station for approximately 33 km, tariff of Rp27,400.- Harjamukti Station- Cawang Station for approximately 15 km, tariff of Rp14,800.- Harjamukti Station-Halim Station for approximately 19 km, tariff of Rp17,600.- Jatimulya Station- Cawang Station for approximately 18 km, tariff of Rp16,900.- Jatimulya Station- Cawang Station for approximately 15 km, tariff of Rp14,800.- Cawang Station-Halim Station for approximately 4 km, tariff of Rp7,100.
