Petrokimia Gresik Strengthens Commitment To Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution

JAKARTA - PT Petrokimia Gresik made the commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence a step to strengthen its commitment to channeling subsidized fertilizers in accordance with government assignments with sustainable digital transformation.

President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo after attending the Indonesian Independence Ceremony in Gresik, East Java, Thursday, August 17, said that the company continues to transform in various lines, one of which is distribution lines to increase supervision, distribution accuracy, and ensure the availability of fertilizers in various distribution lines.

"Today, Petrokimia Gresik launched the Warehouse & Bagging Command Center as a tangible form of our ongoing transformation commitment in carrying out the mandate of distributing subsidized fertilizers according to the provisions," he said in a written statement, as reported by Antara.

This facility is a control tower for warehousing and pocketing facilities at the Phonska Factory, ZA Factory, Urea Factory and Fosfat Fertilizer Factory, warehouse facilities for bulk products ready to sell, as well as Gresik's line I Petrochemical Inbag warehouse facilities.

The Command Center, he continued, also functions as an active 24-hour help center (helpdesk) for shipping out services to transporters and fertilizer distributors.

"It is hoped that this facility can further increase efficiency, supervision, and distribution accuracy, so that the task of distributing subsidized fertilizers can be completed even better," said Dwi Satriyo.

According to him, the Warehouse & Bagging Command Center complements various digital transformation initiatives that have been carried out by the company to support the process of pocketing and product distribution units including the Smart Bagging System (SBS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Digital Transport Management System (DTMS), Scheduling Truck Online System (SISTRO), Customer Centric Excellence (2CE), Petrokimia Gresik Port Information System (PETROPORT)

"Through digital transformation, we want to continue to ensure that the distribution of subsidized fertilizers throughout Indonesia is in accordance with the assignment and minimize the potential for irregularities," he said.

Regarding the production and availability of subsidized fertilizers, the President Director stated, As of August 16, 2023, Petrokimia Gresik prepared a subsidized Urea fertilizer stock of 101,597 tons or the equivalent of 455 percent of the minimum provisions regulated by the government, namely 22,341 tons.

Meanwhile, the stock of Phonska fertilizer is 376,588 tons or 494 percent of the Government's minimum stock, which is 73,407 tons.

"The average stock is more than four times compared to the government's minimum provisions, so the need for subsidized fertilizer for farmers can be fulfilled for the next three weeks," he said.

The fertilizer supply is now in Lini II (Province) and Lini III (Regency/City).

He also ensured that all subsidized fertilizers distributed to farmers met the requirements in the Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) No. 10 of 2022 concerning Procedures for Determination of Allocation and HET Pupuk Subsidized Sector Agriculture.
