Detained By The Attorney General's Office, Former Director General Of Mineral And Coal ESDM Ridwan Djamaluddin Has Assets Of IDR 16 Billion

JAKARTA - Former Director General of Mineral and Coal (Dirjen Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ridwan Djamaluddin was officially detained by the Attorney General's Office (AGO), Wednesday, August 9.

Ridwan was detained on suspicion of corruption in the mining of nickel ore in the mining permit area (IUP) of PT Antam in Mandodo Block, North Konawe Regency (Konut), Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra), with a total state loss of IDR 5.7 trillion.

Quoted from the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN), Ridwan, who once held the position of Acting Governor (Pj) of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel), has total assets worth Rp. 16.62 billion, which are dominated by assets in the form of land and buildings in a number of areas with a total of Rp. 5.08 billion rupiah.

Ridwan is noted to own nine lands and buildings located in West Bangka City, Batam City, Bandung City, Bogor City, South Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta.

The former Commissioner of MIND ID is also recorded as having four cars, namely a BMW sedan in 1996, a Toyota Agya, a Toyota Vexy and Avanza Veloz car with a total value of IDR 815 million. Meanwhile, other movable assets worth IDR 1.42 billion.

Ridwan is also recorded as having an ebrret worth of IDR 1,440,750.00 and cash equivalents worth IDR 7,870,358,203.

Ridwan has no debt. And thus he was recorded as having a total net worth of IDR 16,629,308,203.

Previously, the Indonesian Attorney General's Office named two new suspects in a case that cost the state finances Rp5.7 trillion.

"Regarding the case at the Southeast Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office, which has so far named 10 suspects, today we have named two suspects. So the two suspects are from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office Ketut Sumedana in his statement, Wednesday, August 9.

The two suspects were then detained at the Salemba Detention Center, the Attorney General's Office for the next 20 days from August 9 to 28.

After the case is declared complete, the two suspects will be detained at the Southeast Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office.
