Encourage Local Products, Government And Entrepreneurs To Hold Business Matching

JAKARTA The government through a number of ministries/agencies (K/L) together with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) held a business matching meeting to encourage spending on domestic products.

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said collaboration like this is very necessary and shows partiality to national interests.

"This clearly amplifies the spirit of affirmation of domestic product spending and supports the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement which has been echoed by the President through Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2022," he said on Thursday, August 3.

According to the Minister of Finance, business meetings are active in bringing together various related elements in the process of procuring goods and services.

"The program to increase the use of domestic products (P3DN) is one of the government's efforts to be able to provide optimal benefits for national economic independence and stability," he said.

The Minister of Finance added that the Ministry of Finance has a commitment to support the realization of increasing the use of Domestic Products. This is because the government continues to use various policies in the fiscal sector such as taxation and customs, to ensure all sides with domestic products.

On the same occasion, Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna H. Laoly stated that his party was still trying to support the progress of the national economy.

"We want to be part of the success program for Increasing the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN), because it helps provide convenience in transactions, and encourages commitment to improve Domestic Products", he said.

Similarly, Head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) Hendrar Prihadi said LKPP together with Telkom's Govtech Procurement are carrying out digital reforms by developing the latest version of the Electronic Catalog platform.

"We LKPP are very open, there is a wide market for UMK-Operative actors from APBN/APBD transactions, so today we encourage transactions through Electronic Catalog. Especially now that we are building a new platform from Electronic Catalog. What are the benefits? You can transact with K/L, transactions that are transparent, effective, and can improve the quality and purchase of PDN", he explained.

For information, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Finance, the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP), together with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a Phase VI Business Meeting in the middle of this week.

This event carries an e-catalog system to achieve the transaction target of IDR 500 trillion in 5 million products in 2023. It is stated that the e-catalog scheme involves 10,000 users, 546 local governments, and 34 ministries.
