JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has distributed Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) to 398 houses in Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, to become habitable houses.

"This BSPS program shows the government's presence in helping the community so that they can have decent housing with stimulant funds distributed by the Ministry of PUPR," said Director General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR Iwan Suprijanto in a press release, Tuesday, July 25.

In 2023, there were 398 RTLHs that received assistance from the BSPS Program in Sigi Regency, which were spread over nine sub-districts, namely Kulawi District (88 units), Lindu (10 units), Nokilaki (25 units), Palolo (55 units), Sigi Biromaru (25 units), Gumbasa (20 units), Tanambulava (20 units), Dolo (115 units), and Dolo Barat (40 units).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Sulawesi II Bakhtiar Housing Provision Implementation Center (BP2P) said that the Ministry of PUPR had distributed assistance in the form of stimulant funds of Rp. 20 million to the beneficiary communities.

"The funds can be used to purchase building materials of Rp. 17.5 million and a repairman's salary of Rp. 2.5 million," he said.

One of the locations targeted by the BSPS Program in Nokilaki District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province is Kamarura B Village. It is recorded that as many as 20 Heads of Families (KK) have received an Improvement in the Quality of Self-Help Houses (PKRS) in Phase 1.
