PT AXA Insurance Indonesia Becomes A New Company Name From PT Mandiri AXA General Insurance

JAKARTA - Entering the second half of 2023, PT Mandiri AXA General Insurance (MAGI) officially changed its name to PT AXA Insurance Indonesia (AXA Insurance). This corporate action has received approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights dated 27 June 2023 and has been reported to the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Companies engaged in the General Insurance sector, namely risk coverage services that provide compensation due to losses, costs incurred, loss of profits, or legal responsibility to third parties.

Following the company's success in digitizing customer journeys, through the launch of Emma, a virtual assistant to customers, as well as AXA myPage, an e-commerce platform for lifestyle insurance, this name change reiterated AXA Insurance's commitment to continue to improve customer experience and ease of doing business to all customers and business partners, as well as the expansion of services to reach more people and businesses in Indonesia, through various marketing channels including agencies, partnerships, brokers, digitals, and bancassurance, with Bank Mandiri remaining the company's main bancassurance partners.

"AXA is a leading insurance brand in the world. The new company name is one of the first steps to expand our services to reach the open market. In the future, we will introduce a series of product and service innovations, especially through digitalization to make life safer, fairer, and more inclusive," said AXA Insurance President Director Laurent Bourson, in his statement, Wednesday, July 5.

AXA Insurance ensures that all insurance and contract policies issued by MAGI previously will remain valid until the deadline for the end of coverage based on the terms and conditions listed in the document, and will be the responsibility of PT AXA Insurance Indonesia entirely.

"All customers, business partners, employees, and shareholders are our top priority. I believe the name of the new company, AXA Insurance, will accelerate the company's profitable and sustainable growth," Laurent concluded.
