JAKARTA - President Director of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Darmawan Prasodjo said his party had ensured the readiness of the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) along the main route for this year's Eid homecoming.

According to him, for the sake of smooth mobility, PLN has prepared as many as 616 SPKLUs spread across 279 locations throughout Indonesia to serve the community.

"We are ready to support travelers who use electric cars to stay comfortable during homecoming. All SPKLUs are ready to serve electric car users while going home," he said in a press statement on Sunday, April 16.

Darmawan hopes that the availability of SPKLU on the homecoming route will make electric vehicle users feel safe and comfortable to undergo this year's Eid homecoming.

"Hopefully the availability of SPKLU along the main homecoming route can make people feel safe and comfortable when traveling to their hometowns," he said.

On the same occasion, General Manager of PLN West Java Distribution Main Unit Susiana Mutia said the company continues to provide the best service for travelers using electric vehicles with the presence of SPKLU on the main homecoming route.

He revealed that in West Java there are also 110 SPKLU PLN locations spread across 27 cities/regencies in West Java with a total of 123 chargers ready for use by travelers.

"We provide SPKLU on toll roads which are the main homecoming routes to Central Java. Meanwhile, travelers who come from West Java and use electric vehicles also don't have to worry about charging their vehicles, from Sukabumi to Pangandaran, SPKLU facilities are available," he explained.

Meanwhile, other 200 kilowatt (KW) ultra-fast charging SPKLUs were also present at Rest Area KM 62 B Jakarta Cikampek, Rest Area KM 130 A Cipali, Rest Area KM 101 B Cipali, Rest Area KM 228 A Kanci Pejagan, Rest Area KM 229 B Kanci Pejagan, Rest Area KM 88 A Cipularang.

Then, Rest Area KM 88 B Cipularang, PLN UP3 Bogor Office, PLN Limbangan Office and PLN Braga Heritage (SPKLU Mobile).

"Through the presence of SPKLU facilities spread across various points, it is hoped that it will make it easier for travelers to plan trips and be more comfortable using electric vehicles," concluded Susiana.
