Ready To Distribute Social Assistance To 21 Million People, Bulog Waits For Ministry Of Social Data

JAKARTA - The government will distribute social assistance (bansos) to 21 million beneficiary families (KPM).

The social assistance provided is in the form of 10 kilograms (kg) of rice, eggs and chicken meat.

Bulog Business Director Febby Novita said Bulog would provide rice while meat and chicken eggs would be provided ID FOOD.

"For the preparation of social assistance because there has been an order from the president and a letter from the Food Agency, this social assistance will be distributed for 3 months with 21 million KPM throughout Indonesia," said Febby at the Ministry of SOEs Building, Wednesday, March 15.

He detailed that every month Bulog will spend 210,000 tons for 3 consecutive months.

"So, each family gets 10 kilos and we are waiting for the data from the Ministry of Social Affairs because we don't have data and only provide rice," continued Febby.

He added that the distribution of social assistance would later be given by name by address to each family.

"The information from the Food Agency has written to the Ministry of Social Affairs to distribute the rice because the door to door by name by address will be distributed," continued Febby.

Present on the same occasion, the Commercial Director of PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) or ID FOOD Ardiansyah Chaniago said, to prepare for the distribution of social assistance, his party had pocketed 2 million KPM data from the BKKBN but was still waiting for the finalization.

"We have checked stock readiness, regarding the number of KPM that we last got from the BKKBN based on a complete name by address of approximately 2 million, but we are still waiting for the finalization," concluded Ardiansyah.
