JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif has determined the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 37.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2023 concerning Technical Guidelines for Distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Certain Gas Right on Target.

Director General of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji explained that the purpose of determining this rule is to realize adequate LPG supplies that can be sustainably accessed by the public at an affordable price.

Tutuka continued, this Kepmen regulates several things including the requirements and obligation to redistribute LPG refills, subsidy budgeting mechanisms, imposition of sanctions, certain LPG refill quotas, and certain stages of redistribution of LPG refills.

Furthermore, regarding the stages of redistribution of certain LPG refills on target, it is regulated in the Decree of the Director General of Oil and Gas Number 99.K/MG.05/DJM/2023 concerning the Implementation of Regions and Implementation Time for the Distribution of Filling of Certain Gas Liquefied Petroleum Right on target.

In the regulation signed on February 28, it was stated that the Director General of Oil and Gas set the determination of the area and the time for the distribution of certain LPG refills to be right on target, where for Phase 1 a certain LPG user data collection process was carried out into the web system and/or application by the Business Entity Recipients of Certain LPG Assignment and Distribution Assignments gradually starting March 1, 2023, in districts/cities in Java, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara.

Meanwhile, data collection for regencies/cities in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi will be carried out in stages starting on May 1, 2023.
