Going To Operate For 20 Years, PT PII Conducts Market Sounding Construction Of Yogyakarta Landfill

JAKARTA – PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) is known to have carried out market-sounding activities for the Piyungan Regional Landfill (TPA) project in Yogyakarta.

President Director of PT PII Wahid Sutopo said this market sounding was a continuation of the project assignment that was carried out on March 1, 2022.

"This project is planned to use the Design Build Finance Operate Maintain Transfer (DBFOMT) scheme with a Public Private Partnership (PPP) period of 21.5 years (1.5 years of construction period and 20 years of operation period)," he said in a statement. press on Thursday, February 16.

Wahid explained that the planned scope of the PPP scheme for the Piyungan Regional Landfill includes the design, financing, and construction of waste processing facilities.

"As well as supporting infrastructure and carrying out the operation and maintenance of processing facilities will also be carried out," he said.

On the same occasion, Yogyakarta Regional Secretary Raden Kadarmanta Baskara Aji stated that his party would fully support the plan to build this important facility.

"We will support in terms of land acquisition for landfill construction sites, other infrastructure development, permits, and regulations as well as returns in the form of tipping fees," he said.

PT PII itself hopes that the implementation of market sounding can attract many potential investors so that this project can be implemented immediately.

In addition, PT PII is said to be ready to provide guarantees in an effort to support the DIY Regional Government program in increasing the level of waste management through the PPP scheme.
