JAKARTA - Vice President of Tatalogam Group, Stephanus Koeswandi, really appreciates the government's steps, especially the Ministry of PUPR which continues to narrow the space for the use of imported goods in sustainable infrastructure development in the country. According to him, the use of products with high TKDN can help restore the nation's economy, which had slumped due to the pandemic.

"With the increasing use of domestic products, the country's industry will automatically also develop. The impact of national economic recovery can also be realized soon," said Stephanus Koeswandi, in a written statement, Sunday, November 27.

For this reason, his party is also committed to supporting efforts to advance the construction industry by upholding the values of Indonesia's development struggle. Not only by presenting light steel products that are already 100 percent made in Indonesia, but also implementing green industries that are environmentally friendly. We have planted the fighting spirit to build Indonesia in the Tatalogam Group since its inception in 1994. Now, we are pursuing the target of 2050 Zero Empiration. Currently, there are 3 things that are the focus of Tatalogam Group's attention in realizing this green industry. The first is measuring and reducing Carbon Dioxide (CO2) released during production. The second is wiser in energy use. The way is by replacing conventional energy with more sustainable energy such as solar power or wind. And the latter is by better waste management," Stephanus explained again.

He explained that steel waste can actually be recycled 100 percent. However, what must be considered is transportation in the process of transferring steel waste which also requires energy.

We also need to improve the management of waste from steel. Therefore, this year together with the Ministry of Industry, we have prepared a standard design for the green industry for zinc and zinc-coated steel. And it is hoped that when there is a standard later we will have an ecosystem that is more sustainable towards 2050 zero emissions," said Stephanus.

This was conveyed directly by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono at the opening of the 'Infrastructure Connect 2022' which was held at Jiexpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
