Teten Masduki's Subordinates Convey 4 Main Keys To Encourage Inclusive Business

JAKARTA - Expert Staff to the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs for Inter-Institutional Relations Luhur Pradjarto said, there are four main keys in encouraging inclusive business in the ASEAN region.

First, coaching and mentoring are media to support the transition of businesses to become inclusive businesses. Secondly, the importance of digital transformation and a green economy for inclusive business in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

"Thirdly, the importance of partnerships between MSMEs and big businesses in increasing MSME participation in the supply chain," said Luhur as quoted from Antara, Sunday, October 30.

Fourth, building an inclusive entrepreneur can be the main step to starting an inclusive business.

According to him, inclusive business is needed as an effort to eradicate extreme poverty and face global challenges.

"Speaking of inclusive business is talking about how a business can have the awareness to have a real impact on the Bottom of Pyramid (BoP) in facing global economic challenges," said Luhur.

He said it was also important to form a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) whose role was to support economic recovery in a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future.

In addition, innovation is a factor for business development in all sectors that can contribute to the global value chain.

Luhur reiterated that the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs are ready to continue the baton in the struggle to strengthen the promotion of inclusive business in the ASEAN Region as the host of The 6th Inclusive Business Summit.

"Several strategic partners including UNESCAP, iBAN, OECD have also welcomed and stated they are ready to collaborate with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs under the Chair of Indonesia ASEAN 2023," said Luhur at The 5th ASEAN Inclusive Business Summit, 26-27 October 2022, in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
