Getting A BPK ACC To Pay Compensation, Sri Mulyani To Pertamina And PLN: Liquid Next Week Rp163 Trillion

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said that the government would immediately pay compensation fees to two SOEs, namely Pertamina and PLN.

According to the Minister of Finance, this was confirmed after going through a series of administrative processes and approval from several state institutions, especially the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

"The government will make compensation payments of around Rp. 163 trillion, with details of Rp. 132.1 trillion for Pertamina and Rp. 31.2 trillion for PLN," he said in response to questions from the media crew on Friday, October 10.

The Minister of Finance added that the process of fulfilling obligations must be completed this month to support Pertamina's cash flow and PLN so that they can continue to provide services to the community.

"We are trying to get disbursed in October because all requirements have received a review (approval) from the BPK and also coordinate with three relevant ministers and two other ministers. Of course we will disburse it next week," he said.

The Minister of Finance explained that previously the government had paid compensation of Rp. 104.8 trillion from the total budget ceiling provided of Rp. 293.5 trillion. Meanwhile, for subsidies, Rp. 167.2 trillion has been disbursed from the 283.7 trillion ceiling.

"The total compensation debt, both fuel and electricity until 2021 have been completed in the first semester of 2022," he said.

For information, this year the government has increased the subsidy budget and compensation by more than 3 times, from Rp152.5 trillion to Rp502.4 trillion.
