Driven By Infrastructure Projects, WIKA Beton's New Contract Reaches IDR 4.19 Trillion As Of August 2022

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WIKA Beton) won a new contract of IDR 4.19 trillion until August 2022. This achievement increased by 28.04 percent compared to the same period last year of IDR 3.28 trillion.

"Large projects that contributed to the acquisition of new WIKA Beton contracts were dominated by projects in the infrastructure sector by 66.49 percent, followed by projects in the property sector by 15.6 percent," said WIKA Beton Corporate Secretary Dedi Indra at a media gathering, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 7th.

In addition, he continued, the contribution from projects in the energy sector was 12.58 percent, and others from the mining and industrial sectors each contributed 3.1 percent and 2.23 percent.

The projects belonging to a subsidiary of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk include East Ancol – Pluit Toll Road, Manyar Smelter Project, Balikpapan City Coastal Area, Indrapura Kisaran Toll Road, Lotte Line Project Cilegon.

Then the improvement of the Medan Labuhan – Rantau Parapat Railway, Makassar New Port Access Toll Road, the installation of the Jatiluhur Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) Pipeline, the Capacity Building for the Cikampek Toll Road KM 50 to KM 67, Semarang – Demak Toll Road, and a number of other projects.

Meanwhile, until June 2022, WIKA Beton recorded an operating income of IDR 1.85 trillion, or grew 47.16 percent compared to the same period last year of IDR 1.26 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realized net profit was IDR 60.29 billion, an increase of 68.59 percent compared to the same period last year of IDR 35.76 billion.

With a number of positive achievements that WIKA Beton has achieved until August 2022, WIKA Beton is optimistic that it will be able to achieve its financial performance target by the end of 2022.
