The Signing Of The MoU Between Bibit And UNS: Encouraging The Development Of Indonesia's Digital Talents

JAKARTA - The increasingly rapid development of the national digital economy needs to be balanced with an increase in the quality and quantity of digital talents working in it. As stated by President Joko Widodo in 2020, to become a major player in the development of the digital economy, Indonesia will need 9 million digital talents by 2035.

In response to the above, Bibit, an investment application for mutual funds and Government Securities for beginners who have been licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), is committed to opening up greater opportunities for young talents in Indonesia so that they can have digital skills. relevant to industrial developments.

This commitment is realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bibit and Sebelas Maret University (UNS) which was held on 27 May 2022, at the Ballroom of the Ki Hajar Dewantara UNS Building.

The signing of the MoU between Bibit and UNS was represented by William as PR & Corporate Communication Lead Seed and Prof. Dr. Sajidan as Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation, Business, and Information at UNS.

According to William, this MoU will contain at least three main things. First, the development of education, research, and relevant programs related to community service between the two parties. Second, the opportunity that Bibit gave to UNS students to learn directly in the industry through internships and getting workshops in various scientific fields. Third, Bibit's participation in the Independent Learning-Independent Campus program.

"In line with what President Jokowi said regarding the need for digital talent in the country, Bibit is committed to increasing his contribution by establishing a strategic partnership with UNS, one of the best State Universities in Indonesia," William said in his statement, Monday 6 June.

"The signing of the collaboration between UNS and Bibit is primarily to support the UNS Digital Business Undergraduate study program through various collaborative activities to improve student competence," said Prof. Dr. Sajidan. The signing of the MoU between Bibit and UNS was part of the inauguration of the Digital Business Undergraduate Program at Sebelas Maret University. In addition, at the same forum, PT Semar Sarana Sejahtera and marketplace adadiuns.id were also inaugurated as a forum for the UNS extended family to develop entrepreneurship.

"We really hope that this MoU can be immediately followed up with various concrete programs so that it will have a positive impact on UNS students who want to work, whether as professionals or entrepreneurs, in the digital field," concluded William.
