Ensure Public Acceptance, BLT Cooking Oil Under Integrated Supervision Of KSP And Five Ministries

JAKARTA - The Presidential Staff Office will carry out integrated supervision with other related parties, to ensure that the direct cash assistance (BLT) for cooking oil is well received by the public.

"The Presidential Staff Office together with teams from KemenkoPMK, Ministry of Social Affairs, TNP2K, Bappenas, and Ministry of Home Affairs, will continue to carry out integrated field monitoring until May 2022," said KSP Main Expert Staff Abraham Wirotomo, in a press release quoted by Antara, Sunday 24 April.

He hopes that various assistance provided by the government, especially BLT for cooking oil, can ease the burden on the community.

For information, in addition to distributing routine assistance, this year the government also provides social assistance in the form of BLT cooking oil worth Rp. 100,000, Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) worth Rp. 1 million for workers with salaries below Rp. 3 million, and Presidential Assistance for Micro and Small Business actors. and Medium (Banpres UMKM) worth IDR 600,000 per beneficiary.

For BLT cooking oil itself, based on KemenkoPMK's monitoring of PT. Pos, Himbara, and BSI, as of April 22, 2022, BLT has been distributed to 17.2 million Beneficiary Families (KPM).

Abraham said that in its implementation, the distribution of various social assistances went smoothly in the field.

However, not a few people are confused and cannot distinguish what kind of social assistance they have received, especially in BLT cooking oil.

Nevertheless, Abraham said, the confusion was understandable, and not a big deal.

"It's better to be a little confused about what kind of assistance, than to be confused about how to buy basic necessities," he explained.
