Supporting MSME Product Shopping Movement, Semen Gresik Launches 'Bingkisan Blessing UKM Rembang' Program

JAKARTA - PT Semen Gresik which is a business unit of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) supports the Central Java MSME product shopping movement initiated by the Central Java Provincial Government in an effort to support the acceleration of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program and foster a proud culture of using MSME products.

In synergy with the Rembang Regency Government, through the Rembang BUMN (RB) House, PT Semen Gresik launched the Eid package in the "Bingkisan Blessing UKM Rembang" program which was launched by the Regent of Rembang, Abdul Hafidz with the President Director of Semen Gresik, Subhan, and was attended virtually by the Head of the Central Java Province Cooperatives and MSMEs Service, Ema Rachmawati, on Thursday 14 April.

The Lebaran packages offered include food products, beverages, crafts/craft, fashion, to Rembang's typical batik with attractive packaging options and various prices. Among them are the Khuldi package worth IDR 100,000, the Al-Maqamul package IDR 200 thousand, the Darussalam package IDR 260 thousand, the Darul Muqamah package IDR 300 thousand, the Mawa package IDR 500 thousand to the Firdaus package worth IDR 1 million.

President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Subhan said, the Rembang Blessing Gifts program or Eid parcel is a real contribution of Semen Gresik through the Rembang SOE House in absorbing MSME products so that they are able to survive, develop, and grow amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Since its establishment in August 2020, the Rembang SOE House has made encouraging progress. Until March 2022, the Rembang SOE House managed to reach a transaction value of Rp. 1.4 billion, in the future it must be improved as an engine for the MSME economy. I hope that the sales turnover target for Eid parcels from the BUMN House this time can reach half a billion and become the highest among regencies/cities in Central Java," said Subhan in his written statement, Friday, April 15.

Furthermore, Subhan said that the SOE House could become a shared big house for hundreds of MSMEs fostered in the company's operational area. Therefore, Semen Gresik is committed to strengthening the synergy with the Rembang Regency Government and is tireless in making innovations in assisting, facilitating and developing MSMEs.

Rembang Regent Abdul Hafidz appreciated the initiation and contribution of Semen Gresik in supporting the efforts of the existence and growth of MSMEs in Rembang by selling Eid parcels resulting from MSME products through the Rembang SOE House.

According to him, MSME products in Rembang are already brilliant and able to compete as evidenced by the marketing of these products in dozens of well-known modern retail stores. This is one of the efforts to support the recovery of the national economy and arouse love for domestic products.

Meanwhile, Vera Damayanti, the owner of the UD Cangkir coffee business in Rembang Regency, which is an MSME assisted by the Rembang BUMN House, said that her party really appreciates this activity. According to him, the procurement of MSME Blessing Gifts can help MSME actors in marketing their products for free.

"We are very grateful that the UKM Bingkisan Berkah program can help our promotional efforts, of course this is also felt by other MSME actors. Thank you to Semen Gresik for fostering MSMEs, I hope a program like this can take place every year," said Vera Damayanti.
