League 1 2024/2025 Results: Persija And Madura United Win

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta and Madura United both won when they played away matches in the 18th week of Liga 1 2024/2025.

The Kemayoran Tigers secured three points thanks to a 3-2 victory over 10 Barito Putera hosts at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Persija took the lead quickly when the game had only been running for two minutes through Renan Alves' own goal. Renan broke into his own goal due to anticipating the execution of Witan Sulaeman.

Barito Putera then equalized in the 19th minute through Eksel Runahu's goal. The player from North Sulawesi maximized Rizky Pora's pass.

One minute before normal time halftime, Persija Jakarta took the lead again. It was Marko Simic's turn to put his name on the scoreboard.

The match then went interestingly. You see, the equalizer goal from Barito Putera came just one minute after the two teams took a break through Matias Mier. Rizky Pora again became the creator of the goal.

It's just that, three minutes later bad luck happened to Barito Putera. They had to play with 10 players because Buyung Ismu Lessy received a red card after tackled Rio Fahmi.

Persija took advantage of the situation by continuing to attack Laskar Antasari's defense to find another advantage.

Sure enough, Carlos Pena's team scored the winning goal in the 68th minute. Rayhan Hannan maximumed his chaos in front of goal to help his team secure maximum points.

This victory makes Persija Jakarta now collect 34 points. They are still three points behind Persebaya in second place and five points from Persib Bandung on the first ladder.

In another match, Madura United won their third win of the season thanks to Youssef Ezzejjari's single goal against North Maluku United at Gelora Kie Raha Ternate Stadium, North Maluku.

This result did not help Madura United get out of the relegation zone. They are now only collecting 12 points and sit in 16th position in Liga 1 standings, above Persis and Semen Padang.
