JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has finally released data regarding the total budget for direct cash assistance (BLT) for cooking oil of IDR 6.15 trillion.

This amount is planned to be given to 20.5 million people who are included in the list of recipients of non-cash food assistance and the family of hope program.

"This is the provision of food BLT so that people are expected to get cooking oil at an affordable price," said Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) of the Ministry of Finance Febrio Kacaribu in a webinar on Monday, April 4.

According to Febrio, every registered member of the community will receive a benefit of Rp. 100,000 per month for three months.

"The distribution of this cooking oil BLT will be through PT Pos Indonesia," he said.

Sri Mulyani's subordinate explained that the government has also provided BLT for street vendors and stall traders in the amount of Rp750 billion which will be distributed to 2.5 million recipients.

"Just like BLT for cooking oil, BLT for food vendors is IDR 100,000 per month for three months, which will be given simultaneously in April," he said.

Meanwhile, the National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) were appointed by the government to be channeling institutions to the community with a source of funding using the reserve fund of the State General Treasurer (BUN).
