JAKARTA - The management of a fast food restaurant owned by entrepreneur Ricardo Gelael, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was sued by his customer, Erwin Sandi in Palopo City, South Sulawesi. The lawsuit refers to Article 62 paragraph 1 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection with a fine of Rp2 billion. The plaintiff also demanded immaterial losses of Rp2 billion to the defendant KFC Palopo.
Besides KFC Palopo, he also sued the online transportation service provider company (Gojek), both the company and its partners (drivers) not for fines but for improving their services.
Erwin said that until now an open apology has not been carried out by the management, related to the problem that the hamburger order for his son did not match the picture in the application that was delivered by an online motorcycle taxi on November 15, 2021, to his home at that time.
