BRI Holds Job Training And Internship Programs For Friends With Disabilities

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) is said to have opened a job training and internship assistance program for colleagues with disabilities.

Director of Human Resources BRI Agus Winardono said that this effort is part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) to embrace all parties so that they have equal opportunities.

"Through the BRI Friends of Disabilities program, we want to embrace our brothers and sisters to undergo comprehensive job training and internship opportunities in various agencies," he said in a press statement, Thursday, December 30.

According to Agus, the social agenda held by the company received a positive response and response from the public. As many as 100 people with disabilities have been selected and have undergone job training from 8-25 November 2021.

"Of course, our biggest hope is that people with disabilities can be independent and gain valuable skills, skills and work experience so that they can be used to apply for jobs anywhere," he said.

To note, the BRI Sahabat Disabilitas program provides participants with soft skill training, administrative training, and entrepreneurship training with a duration of five days each. This training itself is carried out using a hybrid method, both online and face-to-face. Meanwhile, the training locations are centered in several cities, including Greater Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta and Bali.

After undergoing thorough training, the next stage is internship placement. This internship activity will be carried out from February to April 2022. People with disabilities will have the opportunity to carry out internships in the available entrepreneurship fields ranging from services, culinary, clothing, crafts, to agriculture and animal husbandry.

"Hopefully the program that is implemented can be utilized properly by the participants. In the future, BRI will continue to be present through programs for people with disabilities in the country as a form of giving meaning to Indonesia," concluded Agus.
