JAKARTA – PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. support the implementation of BI FAST which is expected to accelerate the digitization of the national financial economy, integration of the payment system industry ecosystem in an end-to-end manner from digital banking.

Director of Information and Technology Bank Mandiri, Timothy Utama, said the transfer scheme with BI FAST further complements the company's digital services Livin' by Mandiri, which is now experiencing a surge in users.

"Now the cost of interbank transfers using BI FAST is only IDR 2,500 with a limit of up to IDR 250 million in real-time, using account numbers, mobile phone numbers, and e-mail addresses", he said in a press statement, Tuesday, December 28.

According to Timothy, the transfer fee scheme to fellow Mandiri customers has not changed from before.

"Transfers to other independent accounts are still free and more practical using mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses", he said.

Timothy believes that the BI FAST facility will further encourage the digital financial ecosystem to become more competitive and play a major role in encouraging increased economic activity.

"BI FAST is increasingly accelerating fintech, e-commerce, and consumers to be more productive and help the national economic recovery", he said.

Meanwhile, the Livin by Mandiri digital application is claimed to have been downloaded by more than 5 million users in less than two months since its launch in early October 2021.

Until the end of November 2021, the total number of users has reached 9.4 million. Meanwhile, the number of transactions reached 1.2 billion transactions with a total transaction value of IDR 1.5 trillion or grew 62 percent from the end of 2020.
