Netray Monitoring Regarding SNBT 2023 Discussion

The announcement of the results of the 2023 Test-Based National Selection Computer Writing Examination (UTBK SNBT) published on June 20 has become a hot discussion in the online mass media and YouTube. Netray Media Monitoring found 739 articles from 108 media that wrote this topic, as well as 160 YouTube video uploads.

Netray monitors the discussion, which was previously known as the Joint Selection for State Universities Entrance (SBMPTN) for 9 days from 16-24 June 2023 using the SNBT keyword.

Since the first day of monitoring, a number of mass media have started reporting UTBK SNBT 2023, for example regarding how to check the SNBT announcement to download certificates. The intensity of the news then began to increase drastically on June 19 to the day of the announcement. After that, sloping to the end of the monitoring period.

Also, prospective cross- major students who have to take matriculation lectures to minimize the risks that occur in the future.

As for the news portals that most often report about SNBT, Kompas with 106 articles. It is far apart in the next order, there are 56 Sindonews articles and 52 articles in Pontianak Tribune," said Netray.

Not only online mass media coverage, during that period Netray also observed the issue of SNBT 2023 on the YouTube channel using the same keywords.

As a result, there were 160 video uploads that had been watched up to 464.5 thousand times and received 15 thousand liters and 1,228 comments.

The upload of the video containing content about SNBT 2023 only appeared on June 19, 2023. The content starts from a prayer together ahead of the announcement to something that must be done before the announcement of the 2023 SNBT. Then the upload starts to increase on the day of the announcement on June 20 then peaks on June 21.

The most popular channel is the SNPMB BPPP channel, the official account of the Education Testing Management Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture which received impressions in the form of likes, comments, andshares as many as 119,140 times. While the most popular video viewed is the video uploaded by the SNPMB BPPP channel entitled 'The Press Conference on SNBT Line Selection Results in 2023' which won 113 thousand views, 75 comments and 3.8 thousand liters.

The next most popular video was uploaded by the news channel Tribun Jatim Official which showed girls appear to be scolded and beaten because they passed the 2023 UTBK SNBT. This incident suddenly got a lot of attention from social media activists.

Seen 51.3 thousand times, liked 248 times and received 49 comments. Comments were colored by negative sentiment, Netray closed its report.
