The Task Force for Handling State Collection Rights for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI) is increasingly aggressive in hunting for assets of state money evaders ahead of the closing of the 2022 book.

Recently, the Task Force is known to control land and building property assets belonging to obligor Atang Latief in the form of a shopping center called Plaza Shinta on Jalan Teuku Umar, Nusa Jaya Village, Karawaci District, Tangerang City, Banten Province.

Head of the BLBI Task Force Rionald Silaban said the facility has a total area of 34,753 square meters.

"We estimate the value of land and buildings is IDR 210 billion," he said in a written statement on Thursday, November 3.

According to Rionald, this decisive step was taken to return collection rights to the state with efforts to collect obligors/debtors and handle property assets carried out in stages and measurably.

"One of the efforts to handle property assets carried out is the physical control of land and building assets through the installation of security signs aimed at the completion and recovery of state rights from BLBI funds by the BLBI Task Force," he said.

For information, the Task Force's movement has been more agile in the past two years thanks to the legal umbrella given directly by the Head of State through Presidential Decree No. 6 of 2021 jo. Presidential Decree No. 16 of 2021.

Meanwhile, the confiscation of the mall in Karawaci was also attended by the Head of the Banten DJKN Regional Office, the Head of the Tangerang II KPKNL and with security from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. It was stated that several officials also came, such as the local Kodim and elements of the civilian government.

The above asset property of the former BLBI, has become the state's property/richness and is a priority for handling by the BLBI Task Force. For the assets that have been carried out, physical control will be optimized by management in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

"For the next stage, the BLBI Task Force has planned physical control measures on property assets spread across various cities/regencies in Indonesia," concluded Rionald.
