JAKARTA - The return of FPI leader Muhammad Rizieq Shihab and made the crowd troublesome for many parties. Some officials even got sap from Rizieq's actions because they were considered to have violated health protocols.

The crowd that took place at the Prophet's birthday and the wedding of Rizieq's child on Saturday, November 14, sparked protests from many parties. The government is considered to be publicly setting double standards and favoritism for not dissolving these activities.

Until finally, President Joko Widodo held a closed meeting with the line ministries and heads of state high institutions on Monday, November 16.

The meeting was held closed. However, Jokowi's statement after the meeting gave a signal that he was upset with the crowd in Petamburan because of concerns over a spike in COVID-19 cases.

"I ask the Minister of Home Affairs to remind, if necessary, reprimand regional heads, both governors, regents and mayors, to be able to provide a good example to the community. Don't even join the crowd," Jokowi said as quoted from his written statement.

Shortly after Jokowi commented, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD emphasized that his party had since the beginning warned DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to remind the COVID-19 prevention health protocol related to a number of Rizieq Shihab's activities.

"The government regrets the violation of health protocols at the implementation of the wedding ceremony and the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, where the government actually warned the Governor of DKI Jakarta to ask the organizers to comply with the health protocol," said Mahfud.

The actions of the National Police Chief, General Idham Aziz, after attending the meeting also strengthened the signal of Jokowi's resentment. The National Police announced that Idham had removed the Head of the Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Nana Sudjana and the West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi.

Inspector General Nana was transferred as staff to the National Police Chief. Meanwhile, Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi was transferred to the Education and Training Institute (Lemdiklat Polri). Both were removed for not enforcing health protocol rules.

"There are two police chiefs who do not carry out orders in enforcing health protocols, so they will be given sanctions in the form of dismissing the Jakarta Metro Police Chief. Then the two West Java Regional Police Chiefs," said Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono.

Then, Central Jakarta Police Chief Heru Novianto was removed and transferred as Middle Policy Analyst for the Mobile Brigade of the Police Mobile Brigade Corps. Bogor Police Chief Roland Ronaldy was also removed and transferred to become Wadirkrimsus Polda West Java.

Not quite there, Polda Metro Jaya also summoned Anies to ask for clarification regarding the crowd from the event held by Rizieq.

"An invitation for clarification to Brother Anies Baswedan, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province has taken sides in the suspicion of a criminal act by disobeying and obstructing the implementation of health quarantine that occurred on Saturday, November 14 at Jalan Paksi Petamburan III Tanah Abang," wrote the Head of Subditkamneg Polda Metro Jaya AKBP. Raindra Ramadhansyah in a letter received by VOI.

Following up on this health protocol violation case, in the near future the investigating team will summon all parties involved in organizing the event, not only Anies Baswedan. Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said that a number of parties who would be summoned for clarification include government elements and invited guests.
