Street Vendors Who Have Not Received Social Assistance From The Ministry Of Social Affairs, Can Get IDR 1.2 Million In Cash From The Police

JAKARTA - The Street Vendors (PKL) and food stalls in the West Jakarta area received cash assistance from the West Jakarta Metro Police. This IDR 1.2 million aid was given directly to traders.

West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Ady Wibowo, said the target of providing benefits was to 4,400 street vendors in West Jakarta.

"Currently, we have only netted 50% of the target, we have verified it. It's just a gradual process of giving. Because if there is a crowd, we will do it for 150 people today", he said when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, September 21.

Ady explained that the verification of data collection for street vendors was carried out by police officers who immediately came to the location where street vendors were selling.

He also ensured that thousands of data on prospective recipients had never received social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"Oh yes, so there is no duplication (of data), this is what Social Assistance has not received from the Ministry of Social Affairs so there is no duplication, so we verify it", he said.

The police chief said that of the 4,400 verified PKL data, it could increase according to the situation and conditions as well as support for additional budgets.

"We continue to check in the field, maybe there are things that have not been accommodated, we will accommodate them", he said.
