Despite Entering The Low COVID Zone, Boyolali Continues To Accelerate Vaccination For Residents

BOYOLALI - The Government of Boyolali Regency, Central Java continues to accelerate COVID vaccination to create group immunity. As of Sunday, September 5, residents who have been injected with the first dose of vaccine have reached 222,682 people.

Acting Head of the Boyolali District Health Office, Insan Adi Asmono, said that every time there was a supply from the Central Java Provincial Health Office, the vaccine was directly injected into the community according to priority.

The second dose of vaccine injection has reached 116,136 targets or about 13.9 percent. His party recently received a supply of 7,000 doses of vaccine.

According to him, vaccinations in Boyolali Regency that have been injected both the first and second doses consist of 252,012 doses of Sinovac brand, 46,510 doses of AstraZeneca, 38,613 doses of Moderna and 687 doses of Sinopharm.

"We are for the acceleration of vaccination activities in Boyolali on Monday (6/9), as many as 1,500 targets to serve specifically for pregnant women and students. These students are to prepare for face-to-face learning activities (PTM) this month," he said in Boyolali as reported by Antara.

According to him, vaccination activities for students who injected the first dose had reached 2,059 targets and the second dose was 1,701 targets of the target reaching 97,517 students.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 cases in Boyolali, until this Sunday, continued to decline. Active cases reached 210 cases or decreased compared to the previous 321 cases.

According to him, there were 210 active cases of COVID-19, consisting of 75 cases being treated in hospital, 111 cases of self-isolation, and 24 cases of centralized isolation. Cases exposed to COVID-19 increased by only eight cases, bringing the cumulative number to 24,371 cases.

The number of patients who recovered from COVID-19 in Boyolali increased by 15 cases to 22,779 cases or around 93.5 percent, while the death rate increased by one case bringing the total to 1,382 cases or 5.7 percent.

Boyolali is now in the low risk zone for COVID-19 with a yellow color with a public health index (IKM) value of 2.57. Boyolali also entered level 2 with a BOR or hospital bed occupancy of around 18 percent.

However, his party still urges the public even though they have been vaccinated to continue to carry out health procedures with 5M (wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands, reducing mobility, and staying away from crowds.

"We ask the public not to be complacent even though the case has been sloping while maintaining the progress," said Insan.
