Attorney General's Office Follows MBG, Supervision Gets Tighter

Jakarta - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has collaborated with the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) to tighten supervision of the use of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program budget.

This was conveyed by the Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana after meeting with the Attorney General, ST Burhanudin, at the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 17. After meeting with the Attorney General, Dadan explained that 93 percent of the BGN budget for the implementation of MBG was directly channeled to 25,570 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) throughout Indonesia.

The use of this budget requires close supervision so that it is truly optimized for the nutritional needs of schoolchildren, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, toddlers to the elderly. BGN itself has a Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision to oversee the implementation of the MBG program.

The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) has also been involved in auditing all budget usage. The public can also monitor the entire process at SPPG.

Supervision is now being strengthened with the involvement of the Attorney General's Office. The Attorney General's Office through the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) has a network down to the villages.
