JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has temporarily dismissed 62 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) that served Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) menus that were not in accordance with the budget during the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah/2026.
"At least 62 SPPGs that we have closed temporarily because they are not in accordance with providing menus, whether it is a minimalist menu or a menu that is not good, that is what we have closed temporarily during Ramadan," said Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 17.
Dadan said that the 62 SPPGs were a vocal minority or a small minority that eventually became a discussion among netizens and went viral on social media, but unfortunately many other SPPG-SPPGs were good but still a silent majority.
"Padahalada 25.000 more SPPG are running, but 62 is what makes the menu less appropriate and minimalist which makes it viral, jadinyavocal minority, right? 62 but make it viral, most of them are doing well. So, we want the 62 to be smaller and smaller, so that the report that comes out is the silent majority, so it has to be revealed (SPPG) that is good, there are many good ones," said Dadan.
The 62 SPPGs were mostly temporarily closed because the menu served did not comply with the budget ceiling, while others did not have a Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) or did not have a Certificate of Hygiene and Sanitation (SLHS).
"Those who do not have SLHS are also larger in number, and we will close it temporarily until he completes all the processes," said Dadan.
The head of BGN stated that although the value of the losses from the 62 SPPGs had not been calculated, the temporary closure was carried out because the value of the food served to beneficiaries did not correspond to the budget ceiling set.
The closure of SPPG is certainly not done directly, but through several mechanisms that have been established through a warning letter to partners and SPPG organizers.
"We have a mechanism, the first of which is of course a first warning letter, a second warning letter, then there is a temporary closure, then we give the opportunity to improve ourselves. Later if he (partner or SPPG) repeats his violation, it is not impossible to close permanently," said Dadan Hindayana.
However, until now BGN has still done more coaching to SPPG-SPPG that violates technical instructions (juknis) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Criminal law will be imposed if the SPPG is proven to have deviated or misused the budget.
"If there are indeed irregularities or misuse of the budget and it is proven legally, it is not ruled out, but for the time being we are more towards coaching so that all those involved work as well as possible, work as optimally as possible, work as effectively as possible, use the rupiah received and can be accounted for as well as possible," said Head of BGN DadanHindayana.
