"Through the State Department's 24/7 Task Force, we have helped nearly 6,500 Americans abroad, including offering security guidance and travel assistance," he said.
Johnson said his party continues to monitor its citizens in the Middle East and intends to leave the Gulf countries that could be affected by the US-Israeli vs. Iran war.
"The US State Department will continue to actively assist any American citizen abroad who wants to leave the Middle East to do so," he said.
