JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has implemented a special operational schedule in the context of the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration. The adjustment was made to accommodate the expected increase in public mobility, especially in the Sudirman-Thamrin area which is the center of various new year activities.

Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Rendy Primartantyo said, on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the MRT Jakarta service operates until 24.00 WIB.

"Furthermore, on Thursday, January 1, 2026, MRT Jakarta will continue to serve customers from 00.00 to 02.00 WIB, then it will operate again from 05.00 to 24.00 WIB," said Rendy in his statement, Monday, December 29.

According to Rendy, this operational pattern only applies for two days. After that, the MRT Jakarta service will return to the normal schedule.

"On Friday, January 2, 2026, MRT Jakarta will resume operations with a normal operational schedule in accordance with applicable regulations," said Rendy.

On New Year's Eve, a number of community activities are expected to take place along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan MH Thamrin on New Year's Eve, with a central point at HI Roundabout.

"MRT Jakarta appeals to customers to plan their trip well, follow the instructions of station officers, and monitor the latest information through MRT Jakarta's official communication channels while maintaining a spirit of mutual respect and concern for others," he said.

To anticipate a surge in passengers, MRT Jakarta has also prepared steps to manage density at stations and train sets, including through the addition of personnel, the provision of travel card stock, and the optimization of card reader devices at stations.

Regarding ticket payment, MRT Jakarta continues to provide various transaction methods, ranging from banking electronic money cards, the MyMRTJ application, ticket vending machines, to QRIS Tap and purchase at the station counter.

"Customers can use various payment methods, including electronic money issued by banks (e-Money Mandiri, Flazz BCA, BRIZZI BRI, TapCash BNI, JakCard Bank DKI), the MyMRTJ application (iSaku, AstraPay, blu by BCA, Mastercard credit card, GoPay, Kredivo, Yup), MyMRTJ Lite ticket vending machines (QRIS, debit cards, and credit cards), Tap QRIS, and ticket purchases at station ticket booths," he explained.
