80 Tons Of Logistics Assistance In Central Aceh Is Missing

BANDA ACEH - Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf or Mualem admitted that they had received reports of 80 tons of logistical assistance distributed to the central region of Aceh missing.

"I heard rumors or news that it was invalid, yes, 80 tons disappeared somewhere. We put everything down at Bener Meriah," said Mualem, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 10 evening.

Mualem made this statement in a press conference after the determination of the extension of the Aceh hydrometeorological emergency response status, at the Aceh Governor's pavilion restaurant, in Banda Aceh.

Mualem emphasized that so far he did not know for sure why there were reports of the loss of assistance. For this reason, this issue will be checked again with the TNI and Polri.

"We will check first whether it is true or not. We will not trust those who have just heard the news of the bird. Later together there will be the Pangdam, there will be a police officer, whether it is true or not," he said.

He said that basically the assistance for Bener Meriah - Central Aceh has been maximally distributed, but the question then is whether it is right on target or not.

"If we think about it, yes, it is maximal. But depending on the field they are right on target or not," he said.

He added that many donors donated assistance to disaster-affected communities in Aceh, but there is a possibility that they were not right on target in the distribution process.

Therefore, he hopes that all parties in the central region of Aceh, as well as the volunteers there must distribute it properly.

"We also ask Mr. Tagore, Regent of Bener Meriah, so that by dividing the basic necessities as fairly as possible. Because we know that it is really fun where they send them, because there is an airport that we can use," said Mualem.
