JAKARTA - A number of luxury cars parked on the sidewalk and disability lanes in the Lake Sunter area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, were brought under control by joint officers.

Control is carried out with efforts to take firm action by carrying out assistants for four-wheeled vehicles.

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Rudi Saptari, said the control was a follow-up to public reports through the CRM application.

"One of them is yes (tL from public reports). So on Jalan Danau Sunter there are several public reports or CRM, they feel disturbed by parking on the road which causes traffic jams," said Rudi when confirmed, Wednesday, December 10.

From observations, a number of four-wheeled vehicles were found parked on the road, causing traffic jams due to reducing road capacity.

The four-wheeled vehicles are mostly visitors to restaurants and business places that have limited parking spaces.

"So, earlier we appealed to restaurants or business owners, they carried out parking cooperation with parking UPs. Because in this area, in the arena of teenagers, Sunter, there is a parking space provided for 4-wheelers, there are around 40 vehicles, for two wheels there are around 400 vehicles," he said.

Rudi ensured that his party would continue to take action against illegal parking vehicles that were not in accordance with their designation.

"Of course, this activity has been routinely carried out by the North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., and we convey it persuasively to business owners, of course, parking the vehicle in a predetermined place," he said.
