Golkar Regarding Cak Imin Asks Bahlil Tobat Nasuhah In The Aftermath Of The Sumatra Flood: He Is Not The President, Only The Coordinating Minister

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, regretted the statement by the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) who asked the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia to carry out narcotics, in the aftermath of floods and landslides in parts of Sumatra.

Moreover, Cak Imin's capacity was emphasized by Doli as only the coordinating minister, not the president.

"I regret that statement in the midst of all of us is concentrating on helping people who are victims of the flood disaster in Sumatra. What is Cak Imin as? He's not president, he's just a coordinating minister," said Doli at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 3.

"So it is the right to reprimand, those who have the right to give warnings, those who order to repent or not, yes to the minister, to the ministers are the president. So in my opinion, Cak Imin has exceeded his authority," continued the member of the DPR from the Golkar faction.

The deputy chairman of the DPR Baleg also reminded that all parties, especially the government, should focus more on how to help victims solve the problems they face, not blame each other.

"For example, if they lack logistics, lack of fuel, lack of water, then there is no network. It's better if the government focuses on going there, not blaming each other. And in my opinion, the president can evaluate what orders to repent or not," said Doli.

"Well, if you want to evaluate it, then we can also evaluate the performance of all ministers including Cak Imin. Now we want to ask, what did he do in this disaster step? What has he made?," he added.

In the current situation, the legislator from the North Sumatra III electoral district assessed that all parties should establish togetherness, build solidarity, and do concrete work to help people affected by disasters.

"I don't want to find out who's wrong, who doesn't work like that," said Doli.

"Well, when it's finished, then we'll look for it. The cause of this flood is necessary after we handle this community, of course we need to find out the cause of the flood. Is there an environmental problem and so on. Now that is an evaluation, we are also together," he continued.

Doli also reminded Cak Imin and other ministers to maintain their words and actions in the midst of current conditions. "Don't make the situation even more cloudy. Don't feel the right one, the greatest one. Now people are waiting for what we can do for each of us," said Doli.

"So you don't have to comment, let alone often blame fellow cabinet corps. This shows that this cabinet is not solid. Even though Pak Prabowo said that many times we have to maintain health at the same time and work concretely for the people. So don't have a lot of comments," he concluded.
