The Attorney General's Office Ensures That Djarum Boss Victor Hartono's Examination Status Can Be Active Again

The Attorney General's Office has revoked the demarcation of the President Director of PT Djarum, Victor Rachmat Hartono, and confirmed that five people who were prevented from investigating the alleged corruption case of cutting tax obligations are still witnesses.

The Head of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, said that although it had been revoked, the demarcation status could still be active again. In addition, until now no one has been named a suspect.

"Still as all witnesses, there has been no determination of all suspects as witnesses," he told the media at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, South Jakarta, Monday, December 1, 2025.

Including the President Director of PT Djarum, Victor Rachmat Hartono, even though his deviation had been revoked because he was considered cooperative during the examination process.

"Not yet (the suspect), not just anticipating, it turns out that investigators think that the person concerned is cooperative," he said.

It is known, of the five names that had been banned, only one person was revoked. The other four are still prevented, including tax officials and consultants related to the examination of the case of cutting the company's tax obligations for the 2016-2020 period.

"What is clear is that the information I got from the investigator was only about the person concerned first, that's all," said Anang.

The AGO ensures that this revocation is not a permanent decision. If at any time the investigator deems it necessary, the determination can be re-imposed.

"And keep in mind this trait, the current transient properties, what future developments will be, and the investigation case will continue," he said.
