BOGOR - The Bogor Regency District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has named and detained a former member of the Special Election Working Group (Pokja) 10 with the initials BAP as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Parung Regional General Hospital (RSUD) construction project worth Rp. 93 billion. The Acting Head of the Special Criminal Section of the Bogor Regency District Attorney's Office, Rinaldy Adriansyah, said that the BAP, who had the status of a state civil servant (ASN), was named a suspect after investigators had enough evidence.
"The Bogor Regency Prosecutor's Office has named one suspect with the initials BAP as a former member of the Special Election 10 Pokja based on sufficient initial evidence," said Rinaldy, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 20.
After being named a suspect, BAP was immediately detained for the next 20 days at the Bogor Penitentiary for the purposes of investigation.
According to Rinaldy, the suspect is suspected of committing an act against the law in the selection process for the provision of construction goods and services for the construction of the Parung Hospital Building which was financed from the West Java Provincial Assistance for the 2021 Fiscal Year.
As a result of the alleged acts, the state is estimated to have suffered financial losses of IDR 9.179 billion based on the Financial Audit Report (LHP) of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK).
BAP is suspected of violating Articles 603 and 604 of Law Number 1 of 2023. However, investigators have not detailed the role of the suspect because it is still part of the investigation material.
