JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs has prepared logistical reserves for various basic needs worth Rp. 19.09 billion for disaster-affected residents in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra Provinces.
The assistance from the warehouse and UPT center of the Ministry of Social Affairs in the regions, as well as from the social service, was distributed on Sunday, to a number of areas in three provinces with emergency response status for floods and landslides.

The Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) of the Ministry of Social Affairs reported that until the afternoon at 17.00 WIB, the total assistance that had been distributed reached Rp19.09 billion, consisting of a logistics buffer stock and materials for public kitchens in the three affected provinces.
The strengthening of distribution is carried out in line with the limited land access and the widespread impact of disasters in a number of areas.
Saifullah explained that in Aceh Province, assistance worth Rp3.14 billion has been distributed, covering 3,450 packages of ready-to-eat food, 1,440 children's food, 400 packages of side dishes, 3,450 blankets, 570 mattresses, 1,410 family kits, 308 packages of children's equipment, and 220 adult clothing. In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs sent 350 rolled tents, 30 portable family tents, and 30 multipurpose tents.
The assistance reached North Aceh, Lhokseumawe, Aceh Tamiang, East Aceh, Pidie, Bireuen, Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, Pidie Jaya, and the Aceh Provincial Social Service which distributed aid at the provincial level.
Meanwhile for North Sumatra, the aid that has been distributed has reached Rp7.80 billion. Packages sent include 28,280 ready-to-eat food, 3,000 children's meals, 2,000 side dishes, 2,800 families kits, 2,140 children's equipment, 500 adult clothing, 5,300 child support, 1,464 mattresses, 3,968 blankets, and 1,900 rolled tents and 14 multipurpose tents.
In addition, there were shipments of 200 boxes of instant noodles and 400 boxes of mineral water to seven locations, including Central Tapanuli, Mandailing Natal, Sibolga, North Tapanuli, Langkat, and South Tapanuli.
As for West Sumatra, the assistance distributed was IDR 3.64 billion with the coverage of Padang Pariaman, West Pasaman, Pesisir Selatan, and the West Sumatra Provincial Social Service.
The assistance consists of 4.4 tons of regular rice, 5,758 ready-to-eat food, 3,640 children's meals, 1,180 family kits, 850 children's equipment, 1,235 mattresses, 1,225 blankets, and 1,230 rolled tents. The Ministry of Social Affairs also sent 40 units of family tents, 10 multipurpose tents, 10 portable emergency lights, and 3 public kitchens.
In addition to logistics, the Ministry of Social Affairs distributes materials for the operation of public kitchens and independent kitchens worth around IDR 4.5 billion.
