Truck Driver In Cakung Has Been Arrested, But Victim's Cellphone Has Been Sold

The Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to arrest the extortionist with the initials DA (23) who took money and cellphone belonging to a box car driver at TL Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung, East Jakarta.

"The perpetrator with the initials DA is a resident of West Cakung, Cakung, East Jakarta. He was arrested on Wednesday night, November 26," said Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Widodo when confirmed, Friday, November 28.

Currently, the perpetrator is still undergoing examination at the Cakung Police. The perpetrator has admitted his actions in ordering the box driver.

"The perpetrator has admitted his actions to the box driver," he said.

The perpetrator also admitted that he had sold the stolen cellphone to his neighbor after the incident.

"The victim's Samsung A21 S cellphone was sold to a neighbor with the initials A for Rp. 250 thousand. Evidence of cellphones and collectors was secured to the Cakung Police," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the box truck driver was the victim of extorting IDR 200 thousand in cash and a cellphone carried out by a thug at TL Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

The incident was recorded by an amateur camera by passing motorists.

Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Widodo said the victim had made a police report at the Cakung Police.

"The victim has come to the Cakung Police to make a report for further investigation," said Kompol Widodo when confirmed, Thursday, November 27, 2025.
