The Public Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) of Balangan, South Kalimantan, has named a person with the initials UB as a suspect in the alleged corruption of the Balangan DPRD's Basic Mind (Pokir) worth Rp1.27 billion in the project to build a futsal field building for the 2021-2023 Fiscal Year.

"We have detained UB for the next 20 days in Amuntai Prison for investigation purposes. He said that based on the report on the calculation results of a team of experts from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Tadulako University Palu, the state loss in this case was around Rp. 694 million.

Wayan explained that the suspect as the power user of the budget (KPA) Disporapar Balangan in 2021 is indicated to deliberately ignore Presidential Regulation 12 of 2021 concerning Procurement of Goods/Services by directly appointing contractors and consultants without going through the bidding process, clarification, and negotiations.

He said this project was built on a plot of land belonging to a former member of the Balangan DPRD who was the proposer of Pokir with the initials R, the UB suspect was also suspected of engineering the administration by making a fictitious application letter from the Batu Piring Village Head so that the construction seemed to be at the request of the community.

Kasi Pidsus Kejari Balangan Nur Racmansyah said the main focus of the current investigation is to explore the role of other parties participating in this case that is being handled, and not to rule out the possibility of new suspects.

"The determination of prices and appointment of partners have been determined by the suspect together with the proposing DPRD members, the official direct procurement procedure has never been carried out and this is purely an unlawful act," said Racmansyah.
