Truck Driver Who Went Viral While In Action At TL Cakung, Successfully Confiscated Cash And Cellphones

JAKARTA - Box truck drivers were victims of extortion of IDR 200 thousand in cash and cellphones carried out by a thug at TL Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

The incident was recorded by an amateur camera by passing motorists.

Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Widodo said the victim had made a police report at the Cakung Police.

"The victim has come to the Cakung Police to make a report for further investigation," said Kompol Widodo when confirmed, Thursday, November 27, 2025.

From the results of the examination, the incident occurred on Monday, November 24 at around 13.00 WIB. The incident began when the victim was driving an L300 car and stopped at the Red Light Cakung Traffic Light.

"Suddenly a perpetrator came and immediately asked the victim for money. The perpetrator also returned to see the victim's cellphone which was under the pillow and was immediately taken by the perpetrator," he said.

After getting the target item, the perpetrator then fled with the victim's money and cellphone.

As a result of the incident, the victim's blue Samsung A21 S money and cellphone were taken by the perpetrator.

"In addition to cellphones, the victim's Rp 200 thousand cash was taken by the perpetrator," he said.

The police chief said that currently the case is still under investigation by the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The police already know the identity of the alleged perpetrator and are in pursuit.
