Three Sidik Jari In Lakban Arya Daru's Body Not Worth Examining, Family Questions Police Conclusion

JAKARTA - The attorney for the family of the late Arya Daru Parlaungan (ADP), Nicholay Aprilindo, revealed important findings related to four fingerprints attached to duct tape that were suspected to be the cause of the death of the young diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu).

According to him, of the four fingerprints found, only one was considered worthy of laboratory examinations.

"Yesterday, the conclusion was conveyed that there was no DNA of anyone other than Arya Daru. Earlier we had explored, it turned out that there were four fingerprints, of which only one was suitable for examination and research," said Nicholay at Polda Metro Jaya Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Nicholay said, of the other three fingerprints attached to duct tape, it cannot be investigated because it is deemed unfit to be examined by investigators. This condition made the family question the validity of the initial conclusion which stated that DNA was not found other than belonging to ADP.

There are three more fingerprints that cannot be investigated because they are not feasible. I once asked if it was concluded that DNA was not Arya's DNA? Without examination, investigators said they couldn't, because it was not feasible and not tested," he explained.

Nicholay emphasized that the conclusion that no other person's DNA was problematic if the three attached fingerprints did not even go through a scientific examination process. He asked investigators to re-investigate the findings for legal certainty.

"So, concluding that there is no DNA of another person with the investigation of the three attached fingerprints, it may need to be deepened in the future by investigators," he added.

Furthermore, he highlighted the issue of TKP access which has not yet been given to the family. In fact, according to him, a number of media have been allowed to enter to make direct coverage.

"We just found out that there are three other fingerprints attached to the duct tape. The only thing that can be identified belongs to the deceased. The other three do not. Therefore I ask, can the three not be identified as belonging to whom? The deceased or someone else? Investigators say they can't answer that," he said.

Nicholay questioned the reason why the family had not been given access to see firsthand the condition of the room where ADP was found dead.

"We ask for access to the crime scene which has not yet been given. To see the actual condition of the room. Why can Kompas TV get access, while we as the family don't?" he said.

Investigators, continued Nicholay, said that they would first coordinate with the owner of the boarding house. However, the family hopes that the process will not drag on because it involves the interests of a more transparent examination.

"We hope it doesn't take long. We are waiting, and we ask that this case be immediately raised to the investigation stage. If a criminal element is found later, please continue. If no criminal elements are found, according to the conditions, please stop it," he concluded.

Previously, the attorney for the family of the late Arya Daru Parlaungan (ADP), Nicholay Aprilindo, encouraged the Polda Metro Jaya to immediately file a case related to the death of the Deputy Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu).

He emphasized that the family does not mind if all information is disclosed to the public because there is no privacy that needs to be covered up.

This statement was made by Nicholay after fulfilling the audience invitation at the Polda Metro Jaya on Wednesday, November 24, 2025. The invitation was addressed to the deceased's biological father, Suharyono, and the wife of the deceased, Vita Meta Ayu.

"We ask that the title of the case be carried out immediately. In the title of the case, we also ask for an increase in status to investigation, so that there are legal remedies and forced efforts against parties suspected of being involved in this mysterious death," he said.
