Victim's Grandmother Reveals Chronology Of Alvaro's Penculikan Until Finally Found Dead

JAKARTA Sayem (53), the grandmother of Alvaro Kiano Nugroho, tells the aftermath of the chronology of the disappearance of her grandson who was finally found dead after being reported missing since March 2025. He said that when Alvaro's body was found, residents thought that the plastic containing the boy's body was just an animal carcass.

Sayem said Alvaro was kidnapped by his stepfather, Alex, on March 7, 2025. That day, Alvaro was picked up at a mosque with persuasion that he would buy toys.

"Because they were picked up at the mosque, they were promised to buy toys, so they wanted to," said Sayem at the funeral home, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Monday, November 24, 2025.

The next day in the afternoon, Alvaro was said to be crying looking for his grandfather. The cries allegedly made Alex emotional and committed violence that led to death.

"Maybe Alex was annoyed, then he was caught with his mouth. Alex said it was accidental. It means just like this, how come it wasn't there," he said.

Knowing Alvaro died, Alex then tried to get rid of the boy's body. He did not bring Alvaro's body himself, but ordered someone else to leave him to his younger brother in Bogor.

"Taken, entrusted to his younger brother in the Bogor area. But that also tells people, not himself. Afraid of being caught. The younger brother also doesn't want to because he is entrusted with a corpse," said Sayem.

Arriving in Bogor, Alvaro's body was stored in plastic and tied up in a location near a tree not far from the flow of the Cilalay River, Tenjo, Bogor, West Java. The perpetrator's younger brother even had time to replace his wrapper with a t-shirt so that his fingerprints did not stick.

"Not buried. Stored in plastic, tied up. Then replaced again with him because his fingerprints were already there. It was applied, tied up, then tied up with his sister again on a tree," he explained.

The location of the tree where the body was left was not too close, but still around the area where Alex's sister lived. Some time later, residents smelled an unpleasant odor from the area. They initially thought the smell came from the carcass.

"It's been a long time, the neighbor said, 'How come there's a smell from the river?' He said it was a dog carcass, even though it was Alvaro," concluded Sayem.
