150 Benhil Residents Of Fire Victims Refuge At Tanah Abang Sports Center

JAKARTA - As many as 150 residents were forced to flee after the flames scorched their houses in RT 13/06, Bendungan Hilir Village (Benhil), Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, on Sunday night, November 16.

Hundreds of these residents took refuge in the Tanah Abang Sports Hall on Monday, November 17. They lost all their property after the flames destroyed all their houses and contents.

Following up on the incident, the Mayor of Central Jakarta, Arifin, said that his party had provided social assistance in the form of food and drinks and logistics to fire victims.

"Aid for fire survivors who fled at the Tanah Abang Sports Hall fire post has been given," said Arifin when confirmed, Monday, November 17.

His party has handled dozens of survivors or fire victims since last night, including the establishment of a post at the Tanah Abang Sports Center.

Arifin said that he would continue to carry out mitigation efforts after the fire at the Hilir Dam.

"I also advised the fire refugees to sincerely accept this disaster with patience and sincerity so as not to become a burden of thoughts that lead to illness," he said.

Meanwhile, the social assistance that has been provided to residents affected by the fire is ready-to-eat food, mineral water, clothing, toiletries, and worship equipment.

Then folding mattresses, adult men's and women's clothes, a set of toiletries, sandals, sardines food, cooking oil, instant noodles, biscuits, family kits and 200 boxes of ready-to-eat food. The ready-to-eat food is given for the next 3 days.
