JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) stated that all Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) that do not register with the local Health Office (Dinkes) will be temporarily closed.
"We give partners/people in all SPPGs one month to register with the Health Office," said Deputy Chairman of BGN for Public Investigation and Communication, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang in Jakarta, Tuesday, as quoted by Antara.
He emphasized that all of Indonesia's SPPGs immediately have a Sanitation Higiene Certificate (SLHS), because the issue of hygiene and sanitation is a sensitive issue in the community. SLHS is also one of the mandatory requirements to improve the governance of the Free Nutrition Eating Program (MBG).
The ownership of SLHS in each SPPG is also a concern of President Prabowo Subianto. Therefore, Nanik appealed to the Heads of SPPG and their partners or management foundations to care about the importance of SLHS.
"If there is a SPPG that does not immediately register in the next 30 days, we will temporarily close the kitchen," he said.
He added that the official SLHS documents owned by the SPPG must be issued by the local Health Office to state that a business related to food, drinks, and public facilities has met higiene and sanitation standards.
The certificate must be owned by a food and beverage company, because it is proof that the business meets hygiene and health standards. According to the provisions, the certificate is valid for one year and must be extended so that the business remains legal.
The issuance of SLHS starts from completeness of documents, field inspections, to laboratory testing.

In a coordination team meeting across ministries/agencies for the implementation of the MBG Program, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reported that of the more than 14 thousand SPPGs that were already operating, only about 4,000 had registered SLHS with the local Health Office.
"Of that number, only 1,287 SPPGs received SLHS, and 10 thousand SPPGs have not registered yet," said Nanik.
The SLHS regulation is regulated through Permenkes No.1096/Menkes/Per/VI/2011 in Permenkes No. 2 of 2023. This regulation regulates the standards of hygiene and sanitation in the services of Boga, including the obligation of food businesses to meet health requirements.
In addition to national level regulations, local governments are also authorized to set additional rules through regional regulations, which regulate technical procedures for submitting SLHS, retribution fees, to inspection details.
