He explained that the incident resulted in one mining worker named Adil (23), a resident of Airnyatoh Village, Simpangteritip, West Bangka, dying on the seabed buried in the ground while mining by diving.
"The victim, along with two of his co-workers, Salman (23) and Lepan (19), departed since morning to work in the waters, while diving, the victim did not respond after the hose used was attracted to the seabed. The victim's colleagues then searched until finally the victim was found dead," he said.
As soon as he received information about a marine mining accident in the waters, the West Bangka Police Polairud Unit immediately moved to the location to take the first action at the crime scene (TPTKP), examined witnesses, and coordinated with the Tempilang Health Center to post-mortem the victim.
