"We express our deep concern over the explosion incident that occurred in the SMAN 72 School area. Our main focus is ensuring the safety of all school residents, including evacuating and handling victims quickly and ensuring health services run optimally. We wish the victims a speedy recovery," said Anang when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.

Furthermore, he explained that the school area had been secured and temporarily closed to ensure safety.

For information, the Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) stated that the explosion that occurred at SMA Negeri 72, Kelapa Gading Barat, North Jakarta came from speakers at the school.

"We received information about the explosion from witness Zulfikar at 12.09 WIB," according to Command Center firefighters in Jakarta, Friday.

He said officers deployed two cars with 10 personnel to extinguish the scene.
