JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto is 74 years old today. Congratulations and prayers poured in from various parties, including a number of ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, through social media and public statements.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi wrote a greeting on his Instagram account. "Happy birthday Mr. President Prabowo Subianto. May you always be blessed with health, strength, and wisdom by Allah SWT in carrying out the great mandate to lead the nation," he wrote. He also prayed that every President's policy would bring hope and smile to the Indonesian people.

Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid through an Instagram Story upload conveyed a short but meaningful greeting, "Happy Birthday, Mr. President Prabowo."

Prabowo Subianto was born in Jakarta on October 17, 1951. He is the son of the national economist couple Prof. Sumitro Djojohadikusumo and Dora Marie Sigar. His father is known as an economic figure and academic has an effect on the reigns of Soekarno and Suharto, while his mother comes from a family of fighters from North Sulawesi.

This 1974 graduate of the Military Academy of Magelang has had a long career in the military before entering politics. After retiring, Prabowo founded the Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) and has served as General Chair since 2008.

Prabowo served as Minister of Defense in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (2019'2024) before finally being inaugurated as President of the Republic of Indonesia on October 20, 2024.
