Dasco Make Sure The Wrong Money Transfer Problem Is Clear: The Excess Fund Is Withdrawn

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, stated that the problem of transferring the recess funds to a number of DPR members had been resolved.

He said the excess money sent to the member's account had been withdrawn by the Secretariat General of the DPR so that it did not cause state losses.

Dasco explained that in the process of distributing recess funds to members of the DPR, there had been a nominal transfer error. Originally, each member of the council received a recess of Rp702 million, but transferred Rp756 million, so there was an excess of Rp54 million.

"Recess funds, which should have been Rp702 million per member, were wrongly transferred to Rp756 million. However, they were immediately corrected and the excess funds were withdrawn," said Dasco, quoted Monday, October 13.

Dasco ensured that the error was purely administrative and there was no intentional element from any party.

He also stated that the mechanism for distributing DPR funds is currently being evaluated so that similar mistakes do not happen again.

"Once it is known that there is an excess transfer, clarification and withdrawal of funds will be carried out immediately. Everything has been completed," said Dasco.
